Current Academic Governance Handbook
Final Draft Proposal of AP&P Form and Instructions (2-07)Revision of the 1990 manual began in 2003 with a subcommittee of AP&P members (Ms. Arwen Carter, Dr. Dan Hurley, Ms. Christina Tadlock, and Dr. Gayle Weitz - Chair). They created a initial draft of the manual, which was reviewed in 2004 by another subcommittee of AP&P (Dr. Jon Beebe, Dr. Mark Estepp, Dr. Dan Hurley, Dr. Ron Marden, Mr. Don Rankins, Dr. Gayle Weitz and Ms. Joni Petschauer - Chair), who developed the committee work copy.
Regarding the current handbook, Section C Process Flow Chart and Section D Specific Academic Issues were approved Spring 2006. Currently Section A and B are being reviewed and updates recommended from the Faculty Senate are in progress.
During the September 2006 AP&P Committee meeting, a subcommittee was formed to review and recommend two pending recommendations: (1) review and recommend changes to the current AP&P form and (2) study a process to improve overall efficiencies for curriculum proposals. On Friday, November 10th, the 2006 subcommittee met to discuss the recommendations. Subcommittee members are Dr. Jon Beebe, Dr. Dan Hurley, Mr. Todd Powell and Mr. Don Rankins.
