Summary of Enhanced Processing Capabilities
1C1 Room List [screenshot]
- 1C1 displays information about all of the rooms in a building or information about a range of rooms in a building.
- The information displayed on 1C1 reflects what was entered on screen 1C5.
- When a building is entered on the action line, all rooms in that building are displayed.
1C5 Classroom Profile [screenshot]
- 1C5 is used to add, update or delete classroom data.
- Updating data on this screen makes the room available for scheduling a course on screen 130 or a classroom search on screen 1C6.
- Be sure to list all special features or equipment in a classroom.
- Security is located on this screen.
1C6 Classroom Schedule Request [screenshot]
- Used to find an available classroom, schedule, course or special event.
- If you came to this screen from screen 130, after selecting a room, you will return to screen 130.
- A special event entered on this screen will be displayed on screen 1C9.
- An "S" placed to the left of the displayed room, selects this room for the assignment.
1C7 Classroom Usage [screenshot]
- 1C7 displays room usage data entered on screen 1C6.
- Search code "S" identifies special events or a blank indicates a regular course.
- Activity code "A" indicates the type of activity such as exams, conferences or faculty scheduled events.
- Search status code "St" identifies any conflicting schedules.
1C8 Classroom Weekly Usage [screenshot]
- 1C8 displays classroom usage by the week.
- The "X" represents 15 minutes on the grid.
- You can select a week by entering the beginning date in the "week of" field at the bottom.
- An "X" in the FNC field sends you back to screen 1C7 so that you can see what classes are represented by the "xxxx".
1C9 Special Event Search [screenshot]
- Screen 1C9 is used to display, update or delete special events in a classroom.
- A special event is a function other than a course section.
- To display a list of all events, just press enter.
- The search can be narrowed by entering a description or search date.

To use the Classroom Management Search Engines:
- Enter an "X" in the "Fnc field.
- Tab to Days and enter the meeting days.
- Fill in Start and Stop time.
- Press enter and you will be sent to screen 1C6 for a room selection
To make manual updates:
- The "U" function will undo the building and room information only
- The "D" function deletes the entire meeting pattern.
- The "R" function allows you to re-enter the data.
- If there is a time conflict, enter a "C" if the conflict is acceptable or a "T" to resolve later.
Instructions for making changes in SIS with the Class Management Program
If days and times are blank on screen 130, the following options may be used:
- Without any function, you can load days and times.
- Use the "R" function to load days, times, building and room.
- Use the "X" function to enter days and times, then hit return. This will take you to screen 1C6, which will allow you to search for a room.
- On screen 1C6, you may enter building and room to narrow the search. You may also want to zero out the # of seats to show all available rooms for a specific building. When you find the desired room, use the "S" function to schedule.
To update:
- To change building/room manually, use the "U" function, to clear existing information. Then choose the "R" function to add a new building and room.
- To change the building and room using classroom management screen 1C6, enter "U" to delete, then use the "X" function to begin your search.
- To change days and times, enter "D" and do not hit enter. Cursor will automatically move to the next function line. Enter "R" then return. You can enter all information manually.
- To change all information, use the "D" function. Do not hit enter. Cursor will automatically move to the next line in which you will enter the days and times. Then you can hit enter, and it will take you to screen 1C6 for a selection of rooms.
