UNDERGRADUATE POLICY FOR

APPLICATION AND ADMISSION

ADMISSIONS

The Office of Admissions is responsible for the admission of all undergraduate students.  All undergraduate degree-seeking students as well as those students classified as non-degree-seeking must make formal application prior to enrolling in a course.

APPLICATION DEADLINE
Undergraduate applications are processed on a rolling basis.  As off-campus programs have limited numbers of spaces available, it is important that complete applications be submitted early in order to avoid any possible waiting lists.  All applications and inquiries should be addressed to Undergraduate Program Coordinator, Office of Extension and Distance Education, University Hall, Appalachian State University, Boone, NC  28608.

APPLICATION PROCEDURES

All undergraduate degree-seeking applicants must submit:  1) a completed application with a $45 non-refundable, non-deductible application processing fee, 2) official transcripts from the high school and each college attended.  If the applicant has less than 30 semester hours of transferable coursework, SAT or ACT scores may be required.

Upon receipt of all appropriate documentation, the University will process the application for admission and notify the applicant within 30 days.

Applicants should consult the Appalachian State University Undergraduate Bulletin or call the Office of Extension and Distance Education (800/355-4084) for further information.
