FALL SEMESTER 2009 - ACADEMIC CALENDAR

A REMINDER:  On-line access to the University's student records and registration system is available only from 7:00AM to 6:00PM, Monday through Friday.   With the exception of holidays, the Office of Extension and Distance Education is open from 8:00AM to 5:00PM, Monday through Friday; the Student Account's Office is open from 8:00AM to 4:00PM, Monday through Friday.  Any transaction required below must occur during these hours.
 
 
06/22/09 - 07/10/09 Registration for Fall 2009 for continuing off-campus students through the WEB Registration System (WRS).
07/14/09 Billing statements for Fall 2009 mailed to student's PERMANENT address
08/04/08 Payment of tuition and fees for Fall 2009 due by this date. FAILURE TO PAY BY THIS DATE WILL RESULT IN CANCELLATION OF REGISTRATION
08/21/09

WRS open to continuing/returning off-campus students who have NOT registered for courses in this term.    Special (non-degree) students will not have access to registration until 1:00PM

08/24/09 Advance drop-add---WRS open to all students.
08/25/09 First Day of Classes
08/25/09 - 08/31/09 Drop-add period--WRS open to all students
08/31/09
  • Last day to add a class, change the section of a class, change a course from credit to audit, or choose the pass-fail option
  • Last day to reduce class schedule and be eligible for a refund
  • Last day to drop a course without having the drop count in the undergraduate limit of four (see section entitled "Drop-Add" under "University Policies and Procedures").
09/07/09 State Holiday
09/18/09 Last day to apply for graduation in Fall 2009
10/15/09 - 10/16/09 University Break
10/28/09
  • Last day to drop a full semester course
  • Last day to drop the "pass-fail" option on a full semester course
  • Last day to withdraw (discontinue all classes) from the fall semester without academic penalty (Students who wish to withdraw must contact the Office of Extension & Distance Education by 5:00 p.m. on this date).
11/27/09 - 11/27/09 State Holiday (Note: Wednesday, November 25, is a holiday for students only)
12/13/09 Commencement Ceremonies
12/16/09 Last day of classes
12/18/09 Last day to submit final grades (all grades must be submitted by 1:00 PM)
