WITHDRAWAL FROM THE UNIVERSITY (discontinuing all classes in the term)

Students who find it necessary to withdraw (i.e., discontinue all classes) during the Summer Semester 2009
should IMMEDIATELY notify the Office of Extension and Distance Education by calling 1-800-355-4084.  The Office of Extension & Distance Education can provide information about the withdrawal process for summer term.

In general, in order to be withdrawn without penalty (i.e., avoid the "withdrawn/failing notation) the student must submit the request to withdraw within the first 60% of the course's duration.  A student who withdraws may be eligible for a refund according to the University refund policy.

REDUCTION OF CLASS SCHEDULE (dropping selected courses rather than all courses for the term)

University policy cites that if students reduce their class schedules (drop courses) during the first two days of the term (i.e., the Drop/Add period), 100% of the difference in tuition and fees between the original and revised schedules will be automatically credited to their accounts and available for refund. Students who reduce their class schedules (drop courses) after the Drop/Add period will NOT be eligible for a refund.
