Official Transcripts
An official transcript is an exact and complete copy of the student's academic record at the time it is issued. It contains all course work, undergraduate and/or graduate, taken while enrolled at Appalachian. An official transcript will bear the signature of the University Registrar on its face. If issued directly to the student it will bear the inscription "ISSUED TO STUDENT." THE UNIVERSITY WILL NOT ISSUE A PARTIAL TRANSCRIPT. Please note that the University will automatically send both the undergraduate and the graduate transcript (if applicable) unless instructed to do otherwise. A transcript request will normally be processed within three days of the date of receipt, the exception being during the period at the end of an academic term when final grades are being posted.
Transcripts cannot be released if you have an unsettled account with the University. Official transcripts cannot be e-mailed or faxed to students, universities, etc. They can only be sent via first class mail. There is a $5.00 charge per official copy.
