Unoffical Transcript / Mail Service

An unofficial transcript does not bear the signature of the University Registrar. It will have the inscription "ISSUED TO STUDENT" on its face. Unofficial transcripts can ONLY be mailed to or picked up by the student. There is no charge for the mailing of an unofficial transcript. Unoffical transcript request forms are available online or in the Registrar's Office.

Unofficial Transcript / Fax Service

At the written request of the student, a transcript can be faxed to the student, another collegiate institution or to a prospective employer. Please understand, however, that the transcript will be considered an unofficial document. There is a $5.00 faxing charge for each transcript. Fax transcript request forms are available online or in the Registrar's Office.

View / Print Unofficial Transcripts

Transcripts are available via the Web for any student enrolled beginning the Fall Term of 1986. Follow the instructions below to access your online transcript.

Currently enrolled students

  • At the top of the Appalachian State University home page, click on "AppalNET"
  • In the Secure Access Login box, enter your User Name and Password and click LOGIN. (Your Password is initially set to your 9 digit Student ID Number.)
  • Click on the Student Services tab.
  • Under Student Records, click on Unofficial Transcript . (If applicable, click on Level of Study)
  • Your unofficial academic transcript should display.
  • To print a copy of your unofficial transcript to an available printer, select Print from your web browser menu.

Alumni / Former Students

  • For online access to student information, click here
  • Enter your Student I D (the student's Social Security Number) and PIN (the PIN number is four digits and is initially set to the day and month of your date of birth). If you cannot access this information, please contact the Registrar's Office, 828-262-2050.
  • Under Student Records, click on Unofficial Transcript. (If applicable, click on Level of Study)
  • Your unofficial academic transcript should display.
  • To print a copy of your unofficial transcript to an available printer, select Print from your web browser menu.
